I rained out lol. Went and had a look this afternoon and we've got coot by the hundreds. I think I've got a decent spot lined up for tomorrow with this north wind. |

If i knew how to post a pic I would. Our blind took 3 greenwing, 7 bluewing and 1 grey duck. Our other blind limited out with 4 guns, same mix of birds. |

I'm not down playing anybodys call skill but gadwall or grey ducks as you guys call em, are one of the easiest birds to call in up here It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face. |

The greys that hit our pond tend to skirt outside the decoys. Such was the case on Saturday. Had 40 or so lit out in the middle of open water (pond is 14 acres and knee deep on average, although it's near waist deep right now). We've had as many as 80 sitting out there. Sunday I moved the decoys about 15 feet closer and added a teal mojo. Those that wanted to skirt were still in good shooting range. |
