Anybody got any stick time on one? In the market for a new motor & wondering how the new features are performing. I know this forum has been anti-MB for some time but it seems like MB might have cleaned up their act a little and am considering making the switch.

I've got a little over ten hours on mine and starting to get a feel for it. It's been a really nice motor so far

Anybody have any experience with the Sport V in comparison? Is the Reverse on this motor that much better?

The reverse will be different just due to the drive design and length. I can't tell you because I've never ride in one just seen a couple. I prefer a longer outdrive.

Got 60 hours and no issues yet. Very happy. Reverse is tough as well.

I'm happy with mine at a little over 30 hours. Personally, I wouldn't even consider the sport v with this motor on the market. The reverse is damn sure a nice convenience.

Do they offer a retro fit kit yet? I heard they were going to offer it for the older motors.

2600 to retro fit your existing outdrive, 3500 to get the new stainless outdrive, skeg, and cav plate.
And they'll only take orders from march-may.

Until mb says it publicly, I won't believe it. Last public post from ***** was what I stated above. There were lots of the "it'll cost 1700" floating around. It's only been a week since he said that.

They completely changed what was in the kit, which is why the price increase happened. They are designing a skeg that attaches to the old outdrives to test. I wired mine with original handle and football, just added a relay, without having to pull any new wires. As for price that something they are advertising right now, and yes there will be a small window they are available.
