Or most appropriate surface drive for a Beavertail 1750 that's exclusively used for duck hunting? And reasons for your suggestion...?

Thanks

Does the boat have pods?
Alot of boat from BT have pods.
If it has pods, then you have to look and see if the PD can ratchet into reverse, and the pods will get in the way of the turning radius of most belt drives.
I would demo all that I could on that boat to see if they will work and perform like you want.

Best advice is run the motors on there and see which one performes the best, all them MM companies will help you out and if they don't, wwell then go to the next one. I did the same and i made my choice strictly on what i will be using it for. Good Luck Bro!

go drive them all. the decision will be clear from there. then decide if it will work on your boat or not. beavertail boats, although nice, have pods that get in the way, and aren't a true hull made for a shortie. will it work? yes. just not optimum. for as much money as that boat is worth, you might consider selling it and buying a hull made for the motor you choose.

The FPR on a PPD will not Rotate with the factor BT pods.

we put one on a 1754 and wouldnt clear either. Cut off the Pods and hull ran faster without them.
