I have the gtr 23 with a 2 blade prop and am having alot of issues with the prop getting tangled with vegetation. Running the motor in South Dakota in anything from rivers to sloughs. Seeing the main issues on some of the sloughs with stringy vegetation.

Any help??

Are you talking at slow speeds and idle? You can't go slow through thick grass and weeds, wot is the only way.

They all bind up just easing through the weeds. Running on a plane and there shouldn't be an Issue.

Tangling is happening in spits where I don't have time to get on plane or can't go very fast. Never seemed to have this issue with my longtail. Thinking I possibly got the wrong motor for the area I'm in.

Its not the motor. Put it in reverse then back in forwar when it gets balled up. We have worse weeds in South la and don't have a problem.

when i'm frogging in heavy grass, I trim up till I find a angle where I can idle around but it doesn't tangle up around the prop as bad. when it gets bad I pick up the motor and give it some gas and sling off most of it, then keep going.
if you are in cutgrass, ur in for a long night. lol

Never had an issue with my PD in weeds, slow or WOT. :D Although WI does not have the stuff you all have down south, but would think it is not much different than SD.
