This post is aimed at the older members here that have been around and said a lot of prayers for my mom.. Guys like Bombdude, Randy Merta, Cutt, KP and all that said prayers and offered thoughts for her.. Thought i would give ya'll an update..

Last year on this date we were told her cancer was back and there were only a few things they could do at the University of Iowa.. Got her into MD Anderson in Houston and they had a much better outlook on what they could do.. Tried several different rounds of chemo but the tumors kept growing and spreading in the pelvic area.. In Sept they discovered she was still producing estrogen but had no idea why since all the female parts were long gone from the 1st surgery.. Seems estrogen produces a protein that can feed tumors in certain instances.. Started her on an estrogen blocking pill that put her into full blown menopause with hormone swings and all.. After about 3 weeks she could feel a change and the tumors seemed to be getting smaller.. Went to Houston after Christmas for the full blown tests.. Great news, all tumors were shrinking and many had gone from "measurable" to "not measurable".. They still say she's not curable and will need chemo in the future but right now this little $100 pill is doing more for her than all the chemo once she came out of remission.. I'm praying this is our Christmas miracle this year..

To everyone that has continued to keep her in your prayers I want to thank you so much.. This wouldn't have been possible without you and those prayers.. I'm sure I have forgotten some names and I apologize but please know how much you all mean to us..

Thats good to hear. I lost my dad a few years back to cancer. Even though im not one of the older members, i will keep your mom and your family in my prayers.

Greg, thanks for the update. We still have her on our churchs prayer list and she is getting alot of prayers from SoInd. Your mom and I were side by side last week. on the prayer list.
