does anyone know how to get the u-joint off of the shaft. I'm trying to take the engine off of a go-devil longtail. |

if you are trying to take the joint out of the yoke, you need to know out the C-clips and then use sockets and a hammer to know out the joint. Good luck. Ince you look sat it youll know what to do. |

Thats a good querston !!! I figure you could just undo the engine mountin' bolts and pull it away from the shaft ... I don't know fo sho !!! |

man that things givin you hell aint she??! just be sure not to pull directly against the shaft. if you take the yoke apart you should be able to use a puller or something to get her off. good luck. them things can get all kinds of seized up! ![]() |

I've un bolted the engine, taken the set screws out of the u-joint, beat the fu(k out of it with a hammer and broken a punch. Theres gotta be a better way! |

u may want to take the yoke apart so you can get the engine in a better position, off the frame. then youl have a lot more room to work with. |

Go rent a balljoint press and you will thank yourself. You will need a 7/8" socket and an impact wrench and go to town. |
