Okay, after the request of a few I have went ahead and made a how to for those that are interested in changing the fluids on the Gator-Tail. The regular schedule maintenance... As you can see the steps take me all of 10 minutes and pumping of the grease out of the lower unit (which is not show but explained in video) takes an additional 5 minutes.

Instead of doing a writeup with pictures I decided to do a video...

The video was filmed by myself so I apologize in advance. The next time I change the fluids I'll redo the video & have someone hold camera so it looks better I ran out of memory card space on the last step but I detailed how to do it so don't think I'm leaving you hanging

Hope this aids others good luck & if you have any questions just let me know.

You'll need:

-Grease Gun
-1 Tube of AMSOIL Water Resistant Grease for the gun
-ND (Non Detergent) 30 oil for tranny
-5W30 2Q (~1.5 will be used for engine)
-Basic socket set you'll need a 5/8" socket for oil drain plug and 9/16" for the removal of the transmission cover
-Oil Filter
-Phillips head screw driver
-16oz water bottle with bottom cut off (detailed in video) this will catch the oil draining out of the transmission
- Oil fill can (full of the ND30) or something similar that will be able to allow you to get oil into the hole without making a mess!

Briggs has a new oil filter for the 35.. From what i was told if you use other s voids warranty.>> As for as the reverse oil i just use what ever i'm putting in my motor.. Remember the oil in the trans.. is mostly just for light lube and keep condensation out... Biggest problem with lower unit is people use wrong grease.. the one Gt uses is AMSOIL Synthetic water resistant grease part #GWRCR

Are you guys changing the transmission oil at the same time intervals as the engine oil? I'm asking to find out if I am changing it more often than necessary.

So when I bought mine, it was the aqua-grease, or aqua-flex, or whatever the hell it's called, that we were supposed to use. I still have tubes of it that I haven't used yet. What's the difference between that and the Amsoil grease? When did they switch to the Amsoil grease? I'm outside of my warranty anyway, so it's not going to affect that.

I changed my oil, trans oil, and filter at 15 hours. Went to dully snthetic 10w30 Mobil 1.
I changed the LU grease about 45 hours and it was still blue as the new grease I pumped in.

how often are yall changing the lu grease.
