I think you'll be just fine. Expect to cruise somewhere around 25 mph or so.

ok good thats what i was figureing but i wasnt sure how it was going to do with that much weight on the back of the boat or how it was going to do when turning because the transom is only rated for a 30hp but i have a metal shop so i can beef it up if i need to

I have a 31 hp mud buddy sd on a 1648 weld bilt and I know I don't have the hp you have I would think the weight wouldn't be much different being they are the same block and I do fine, my son and I with two ice chest loaded with red fish and trout still clocked 27.2 mph on gps. I did have a little porpoising problem when I first put that motor on it but that was easily fixed. I think you'll be fine with that motor on a 1652.

Add weight to the front is the simplest

I have a Weldbilt 1652 .100 gauge vbow flat bottom ribbed with float pods from weldbilt on the boat. Looking at getting a Mudbuddy 44BD for the rig and was wondering if I'll be able to run full throttle without concerns. I want to get the most amount of power for the boat I can but I also want to be sure i'm not over-powering the hull. It is rated for a 50hp tiller or an 80hp remote steer. Thanks

I have a BD4500 on a 1655 Lowe Roughneck. Boat is a few year old when they were make heavy duty. Rated for 50 hp and weighs 600 lbs. it's a pretty good set up that carries a load pretty good and will run almost 30 with light load. Overall pretty happy.
