Thinking about getting a surface drive for an atypical application. Transom can support up to 250 lbs. Boat is rated for up to 40 hp. Boat has a 20 inch transom. Prefer tiller. Don't necessarily need reverse. What is the most powerful surface drive that you are aware of that meets those specs? Would prefer something over 25 hp but not seeing much that fits the weight range I need. Thanks, Jay |

I think a BB MB with out reverse comes in at 285. My tall transome Alumacraft is rated for 30 hp, and handles my MB 45 Ok. Bare boat weighed in at just under 300 Lbs. |
