Advantages and disadvantages of a poling platform on a 18ft GoDevil with a GD 35HP surface drive? Maybe something to hang on to or lean against?? Not sure if I will be poling for bonefish. |

I love mine. Far more advantages than disadvantages for me. I'll pull it off to hunt certain spots but I can have it off and back on in literally 5min. I say go for it and if you don't need it on a particular trip, pull it off. Must have if you run the coast... |

I have one on both of my skiffs, but I pole a lot on the saltwater flats, and in the back country too. It can always be- unbolted and taken off during duck hunting season if you shoot a lot in the timber, just really depends on your set up and what you are utilizing your boat for on the water. |

It was nice to lean against while driving and protected my motor going through thick stuff. No complaints about it other than it was in the way while trying to work the motor in shallow water. However with my new motor it wouldn't fit on anymore. Haven't used it in 2 years now and cant say i miss it though. Sold it a few months ago |
