I was killing time flying around on Google Earth and was checking out the coast line of LA. That is the real deal down there, we got a few beaver dammed up areas and a few stump invested spots but that aint shit. Yall got a whole world to explore. How do you even carry enough fuel for that area. I worry about breaking down and how long it will take to get my rig out, hell down there you get stuck you better be ready to make camp and survive. Hats off to yall, I feel really small now, hell looking at that I feel bad for even owning a mud boat. I need to road trip down there dip my rig in those waters.

 Re: Random post
It can get real sketchy out there for sure. But with 10+ gallons of gas, you can do lots of exploring and enjoy lots of time on the water.

I'd be more worried about bringing cash and finding a good spot to stop for lunch!

 Re: Random post
Haha yea. Well I'm 15 hours away so... I should make a road trip out of one of the ride events. They cancelled the one close to me at Sparkleberry cause apparently they don't like beer and bikini clad women. WTF

 Re: Random post
Long story short from what I've been told, DNR and Sheriffs office putting the pressure to the organizers. Insurance is basically next to impossible to get because of all the videos making their rounds. Some big sponsors pulled out. Plus very few people would actually participate in the run as far as hands, donations, etc. So the organizers are looking at revamping the whole thing and bringing in some new non-profit organizations and reach out to potential new sponsors to try and real it back in from what it's become.

Except for the Cajuns, where you think all these people down here came from? North Carolina by God. Google "Jacob Stampley Cole Sr". 1799-1884. Walked through the swamp and discovered Pecan Island. Lived and died on Mulberry Island. My ggggrandfather. I don't deserve to breathe the same air. When men were men.
