It does my heart good to see all those mudmotors and mudboats seen on TV and print journalism the last few days. All who assisted and participated in these operations truly know that you helped out brothers and sister's, fathers and mothers, and children of all sizes and ages. My congradulations on what you and your friends have accomplished and all that is still being done in LA and Texas coastal regions during this flooding. Your kindness and outreach will not be forgotten and especially by all those in need. |

Myself Tperkins, brasso, duckdiver, quack n stack, westendangler, the list goes on and onhave been in our boats since Sunday before dawn. Today was the first day things have really started slowing down. SETX is still in a bind in many areas. Still have helicopters flying over. I didn't know we had this many mud boats, airboats, duck hunters and General outdoorsmen. So many of my fellow mm from Louisiana came over to help as well. All us of saw so many tragic and devastating things, but I saw more hope and humanity than anything else. I had always believed that Texas was great, but now I know why. Here's some of the pictures I took over the last week. |

I've been at it since Sunday over here. I haven't taken any pics really. I've seen some horrible things and some that will truly keep you going. The widespread nature of this thing is what is making it so horrible as a whole. We've slowed down a bit hauling people, now we're hauling supplies, and provisions to people that are safe but still cut off. I hauled feed and hay all morning to supply a few cattle operations close to me that are in a bad bind. I was averaging 25 50lb sacks per load. I made at least 6-7 loads. The thing that really made me more proud than anything else was talking to some guys who brought air boats from Florida. They said they'd worked several other big storms/floods and they've never seen a bunch of locals take care of theirselves like we do. He said it wasn't just us, it was everywhere they'd been. Speaks volumes about the type of people we live around for the most part. Stay safe out there fellas, keep doing good things. |
