I'm on my 2nd trailering bracket for the GTR... Well just broke # 2 now I've gone back to the straps and think I'm just going to build my own. I have to trim down 2" before the case touches the bracket, seems like I need to cut 2" off either side and re-drill the holes and put it on that way. My engine hangs low but not very low. I wonder if its b/c I have the hunt deck but you'd think the angle would be the same... Maybe I'm trimming down to far but I don't like my motor bouncing and so I make sure its not moving left or right when I'm using the bracket. Anyone else having any issues? How low does your prop hang with the trailering bracket??

I went with jet drive to rockport this weekend and I didn't notice his gtr bouncing at all and his prop height seemed fine to me. looked real solid. Maybe you are putting to much presssure on it

Turbo's is cracked & about to break, too. I've heard a bunch of guys havin this problem. The bracet is too thin and brittle in the bends. Get ya some 1/4" x 2" aluminum strap and have it welded up to make you one that aint so brittle.

be sure to line that bracket with some kind of foam tape so it dont rub all the paint off

Not sure where the crack is but if its by the bend just re weld it. I would be a lot stronger thats for sure like Team Camo said.

The padding still wears the paint off but a lot slower than if you didn't have any...

All the breaks have been at the bends. Before putting the new one on the corners already had that orange peel texture.

I'm going to mess with it 1 more day of ducks for me until September

if gatortail had a engineer that was remotely worried about the motor bouncing on the trailer they would of figured sumthing out by now, and it would of been tested to work.

Justin has broken his twice...he got a local shop to make a new one out of thicker aluminum and it seems to be holding up better...just find someone or make one yourself. The ones that gatortail give you are pieces of sh!t and they charge like $50 for a new one. The shop Justin went to made it for $20. As soon as mine breaks I am getting a heavier one made.

Just because you make it out of thicker alum don't make it any stronger. In fact if its bent its prob gonna be weaker. When you bend thicker material your chances of having stress cracks triples. When you bend alum your forming speed has to be slow. Also your part is only gonna be as good as the material you get.
