Has anyone ever built one?

20 or so years ago on the Ouachita river I fished with my uncle and a friend of his that had a house boat there with one of these home made contraptions attached to it. It was basically shaped like a wedge at the correct angle to where you could easily slide your flat bottom boat up on with just a little twist of the throttle. It also had some kinda cloth/fabric on it that the hull would slide on pretty easy. It was easy to shove the boat back off it also.. Not sure what was floating it underneath.

I would like to build one of these things for my place on the lake. Any ideas ? The fabric? The correct angle? Anyone got any pics?

I have looked at alot of google pics but all I see are the store bought ones..

8 plastic barrels - a few synthetic decking boards - and some poly
to slide ontop of the rails like what is on the bottom of an airboat
on top of the synthetic deckng boards.... Bolt it all up with stainless
nuts and bolts and sink a few 4x4s on each side to ride up and down
as water levels change....

Make your life easier and use pvc pipe like we do, easy to get on and off and lasts forever

I can get you one the next time I go to my dads. Pvc kept in the boat is great too for jumping levys and getting you boat easily on and off the bank

No, it's something he built on the bank using 2x4s and pvc on top of that. My grandpa use to do the same thing and that's where he got it from
