ok yall when i first got on here i talked abotu puttin a gdlt on my pirogue well couldnt get the cash to put one together so i made one out of a weedeater and some stuff i found around the shop and it pushes me around at 10mph empty wit just me and when i finally bottom out i can get out and not even get my ankles wet(even with a load) its not fast but it did its job lol....anyways i have come across a 6hp tecumseh outboard that is aircooled that i am gonna be getting this weekend hopefully<im trading a small mig machine for it hopefully>and i am going to rig it on the back till i get a lil more cash to go buy some alluminum to build a transom----wondering if anyone on here knows about these motors because i cant find them out anything about them on the net
the guy said it doesnt have reverse but it swivels 360 deg meaning i have FPR  and it has a metal prop instead of that plastic chit
i am VERRY familliar on go-kart and lawnmower motors but wondering who put the motors out and a time frame on when they were built and just the odds and ends of them any input will help

Thanks:BOOTZZ

Im not sure how much money your sinking into this setup your going with, but you could just save your money to get what you really want later on down the road. I know you want something right now, but instead of half ass-ing it just do without for a little while.

That way, you will have something that will be worth while and something that isn't ghetto rigged. Just an idea bootz.

Have heard of the techumseh motors for years-go karts, mini-bike, lawn mowers.... Good motors as far as I know or experienced.

Have heard of the Briggs "outboards" before-don't know much about them though-wouldn't surprise me if someone replaced the briggs power head with the techumseh.

X2 on the get something good, but you have to do what you have to do till you can get your pennies together...

I would start saving to get you a decent little lt pkg....
