What ya'll think? Tony B?

 Re: Add a bowfishing forum?
Hey, nevermind on the new forum thingy.... I just saw the "crawfishing/frogging" new forum thread in the engine forum. Boy that due took an a$$ whoopin on that thread. So without further due, I am waving the white flag and declare my idea dumb.
Peace out, BSH

 Re: Add a bowfishing forum?
That's actually a good idea but we already have a good amount of forums already. I don't want to see MMT with so many forums that folks have to spend too much time getting to what they want, but also want to give the members some good forums as well. Many members check MMT while at work and might not have much time to sift through it all. Don't get me wrong, I'm open to new ideas, after all, MMT is for the members and I want to keep everyone happy.
Here's what I can do, I could rename the hunting & outdoors forum to Hunting, Fishing & Outdoors, that way we keep using the same forum for all that type of stuff.

 Re: Add a bowfishing forum?
No dumb ideas. Many of the forums on MMT were submitted as ideas.
I renamed the hunting forum to: Hunting, Fishing & Outdoors Hunting, Fishing, Bowfishing & Outdoors Talk
That should cover it. I just think that too many forums on a site is overkill and all those forums don't get much traffic. I think what happens is that someone opens up a site and gets on a roll adding all these forums and next thing ya know there's 50+ forums.
I just counted and we have 31 forums including the individual event forums.
A future option is to do what I did with the events forums. (i.e) I took the Caddo Run forum and made it a main forum, then when you click on it, it takes you to a new Caddo event sub forum where there's 2 forums for the event, one for last year, and one for this year. That keeps the current stuff in it's own area while still keeping the past event stuff like pics and thank you threads etc., in it's own forum so the 2 don't get mixed up.
And no, never been a democrat, I'm an Independent with Republican values.
