 Trolling Motors
I have a 17x54 GT Hull, what size thrust trolling motor should I get for it? And if you have one on a similar boat what make and model are you running?
Thanks!

 Re: Trolling Motors
Do a search we had a thread about a week or two ago on this same topic...
I have a Minn Kota SD 55# Troling motor (12V)
I bolted 4 bolts through a plate (quick disconnect) the trolling motor itself sits on top of this permanent mounted plate. I can remove the trolling motor in 30 seconds by pulling a pin.

 Re: Trolling Motors
I'm fix'n to mount a minn kota R/t 8olb on my 16x60 GDSD boat this week...
The size depends on how much fishing you plan to do, and where you going.. I wanted the 80 to get thru all the grass and stuff back in the ponds and the fact that its 24v will help it stay strong all day long.. If you just gonna fish a litle bit then a 12v 50lb trolling motor will work fine. I even plan to fish some redfish tour. out of mine...
