Im going to be getting a new boat here pretty soon, I have narrowed it down to prodrives 36hp and gtr 35. I like the reverse option on both, but wanted to hear from all of you that drive them what your opinion is and if I could get a little feedback from y'all. Im thinking about going with a 17' 54 which gives me room to actually fish out of when need be. Some input would be great! ![]() |

please use the search function as this topic has been beat to death. the best advice anyone can give you is to go test drive them both. don't buy one based on what jim bob or joe coonass on the internet tells you. |

what u need to do is go demo whatever brands u like and then make a decision. demo rides are free and the only way to decide for urself which setup is best for u. goodluck |

Is there any dealers in here in setx that do the demo rides? Because the few that I have been to dont do the demo rides. I'll drive to LA one weekend to test drive one if I can find a place that lets you? |

I can call Josh here on the board and we can both meet you out at Wallisville launch one weekend he has a PD I have a GTR you can ride and drive each one see what you like better... Granted they'll be on different hulls but you won't have to drive all the way to Loreauville either. SETX mud run is coming up I'll be in Port Neches here soon as well. |

if u find a dealer who WON'T GIVE A FREE DEMO RIDE to you, please post his name and dealership name on here so we can be sure to tell everyone not to do bidness with that dealer. |

1754 is a nice stable boat for fishing or hunting out of. An 1850 would give you better load carrying capabilty. A 35 or 36 will push that boat well. |
