Post PD lower unit ???
Replaced my lower seal during the hunting season. Hadn't had many long runs in the last few weeks and assumed it was ok.
Put up a bunch of wood duck boxes yesterday and ran all over the lake. When I got back to the ramp, grease was pumping out of the LU just below the knuckle. Gray grease.
Is it normal for this to happen when you replace the seal and then heat the grease or is the seal bad again or not done properly?
Ran fine, no white grease like before but with fishing season coming up I need to make some log runs and be able to fish without the pretty rainbow sheen on the water.

Grease will come out of the knuckle!(Which is normal)Pull your plug on lower unit and see if lower unit lube is milky!Mine was getting water in it and it was the top seal!

Grease=good & oil=bad. If you think about it the lower unit slides up into the housing/frame that is open on both ends so the grease pumped in can come out if you put in to much at one time.

Just as others have said already cause I was concerned about the same issue. Just grease for me so far and as long as its not oil, I'm not goin to trip off it. I always tend to over grease my stuff I guess.
