I was out running my boat last night and my trim decided to fail as soon as I got back to the ramp.
I can hit the up or down switch and you can hear the trim motor working, but nothing is happening. Its not pushing the trim bar out or pulling it in. Motor just sits there. Anyone know what the deal might be? This is my second trim actuator too, and this one probably only has less 50 hours on it. Should still be good. Will call gator tail this week if I can't figure it out.

Also, are there any new updates on the new belt housing boxes and the plastic front switch panel? Last I heard they were making some new ones out of aluminum but haven't heard anything since. Might just be a rumor.

Thanks for the help.

Did you check your connections mine would do the same thing and it was a loose connection. Check that before diving in deeper.

Mine sounds just like it does when it works. You would not know the motor wasn't going up and down if you were not lookin at the motor when pushing the button. Sounds the exact same as when it was workin...if that makes any sense. But ill check it out tomorrow.

Sounds like you need to add fluid. It's easiest to take the trim unit loose to work on it.

I will add more fluid to it tomorrow. May have a leak. Haven't looked at it too close. If I do have a leak, I will cal gt this week. I'll look more into it tomorrow.
