I've got a 13hp Beavertail LT with a 1542 Alumacraft. Not to long ago I had more pitch added to my prop sized to an 8*5. I tested it without beavertail pods and my speed did not increase. It worsened by .2mph-.5mph running a steady 13.5mph. Then I added Beavertail pods but did not notice speed changes because my prop was already worn a bit. Yesterday I had my prop refurbed by someone different and it ran 15.5mph against a light wind (I'm sure it'd hit 16mph with the wind).

So my question is,
Did the 2mph increase happen because of the beavertail flotation pods or because of the different prop rebuilder I used this time?

I'm gonna order another prop from beavertail sized 8*4 since I go through these props every 3 wks and get to the bottom of this mystical event that took place.

Probably a combination of da two.

Wish I could gain 2mph!!!!!!
