Me and a buddy headed out to Lake O' the Pines last night to put some corn out on some islands where we saw a bunch of hog tracks this weekend. Headed out to the spot, took the wrong path, didn't realize it until too late, then BAM... high centered my dual rig on a downed tree on dry land. The bastard was too heavy and the mud was too thick up front to push it off.

After working it back and forth by hand for about an hour, we finally got it off the tree and got the props into some chit they could bite into. After about another thirty minutes of diggin the props, we finally got to where we'd be able to swing outta there. I got out of the boat to help my buddy drag the back end into the water, and I fall into the phuckin' hole that my props dug. The water was up over my waist.

After two hours of trying to get unstuck, I ruined a pack of smokes, keyless entry to my truck and gate, and my damn iPhone 3GS... and didn't even get to put the effin' corn out.

Looks like I'll be headed back out tonight to finish the job!

After ruining a few phones and loosing keys, i bought a pelican case.

When i get in the boat, throw my shit in there and throw it in my seat pod. It floats, its waterproof and it was like 30 bucks.

Buy one.

Funny thing is, I bought one two weeks ago just for taking in my boat. Apparently the thing only works if your phone is in it... I completely forgot my phone was in my pocket.

Get one of these from academy. Can use the phone while in the case. Works great for wading too.

We've been puttin' in at the Lone Star ramp.

where did you get stuck at down there, its easier to get on most of the islands from the south side of them. it should not be a problem to kill a pig down there.

pigs love to run them islands.........should be good until the water drops another foot then they will walk the mud flats instead of holding on high spots.

let me know when you go out again on a thursday - saturday night.......i need to run my rig and stick a pig!
