I just got some hydroturf and it came with some kind of 3m backing. How well does that work? If it dont work good what do I need to get to do the job right? |

Seems to work from what folks have said. I believe some have also spayed some extra 3M glue on to make sure it would stay. |

skip the adhesive backing and buy the spray cans of 3M Spray 90. They are expensive $12-15 and you will need about 1 per sheet of hydroturf. |

I think you can either buy it with the adhesive ( a LOT more expensive) backing already on there OR you buy it without adhesive and put your own of some sort-contact cement or as BN said get the Spray... Not sure you can add the spray if you already have the adhesive on there, but maybe.... guess it won't hurt... |

Use the 3M spray along with the 3M backing on the turf and it wont go anywhere. |

Why would you pay so much extra for the adhesive backing if you still have to use glue? Seems like a waste of money. A gallon of contact cement is 25 bucks and should be enough for the whole boat. Isn't the backing like 20 bucks extra per sheet? And then the glue is another 15 bucks a can per sheet? |

I would have bought it without the backing but I couldnt find any on the site that didnt have it. |

you will be better off with the backing and the spray. its just money  you can make more of it. |

The spray backing is GREAT!!!! As I always say make sure you have some help. Good Help with the install. You will need it. |

Be sure you let the 3M 90 set up for at least 5 minutes before applying the HT. Also, be liberal with it (the 3M). |
