Hello to all, I am new as a member to the site but have been visiting for years. Anyway,
with all the people building skiffs nowaday, which do yall think is the best. Some things to consider before yall answer; I own a 36PD and love it - not saying I wouldn't go to GT, but am privy to PD . I'm looking at having a 17x48 built-by whom I dont know. My motor will never see mod's. It will carry a load every trip and would like to carry it "quickly". Please even take into condiseration the people building them, I read tons of good stuff about Ricky A., but some say he is hard to contact or quit building. Please take all factors into consideration and learn me something....

Brother built my skiff, and my last flat. I have some pictures of it in the review section. Brother can build you a boat to last a lifetime, but I like new boats so I'll probably get another one built after duck season, plus its a good excuse for me to sneak off to s. La for a little bit.

I don't think Ricky is currently building boats.

either rick or brother are the only two i would let touch a boat of mine.


not bashing any of the other builders on here but those are the only two i trust. i see your in baton rouge. i have a aucoin skiff, leonard, brother, and a tugg martinez skiff sittin in my yard... u can come look at any you would like.

A Rickey Aucoin skiff and the ones Bundy are building now are basically identical in appearence. Craftmaship may vary, but Bundys skiff hauls ass with a GDSD and I know it carries a load good. Uncle J builds a nice skiff also.

I got a new bundy built. You can come look at it. I am 25 min from Baton Rouge. Oh and jus10. If u only let rick or brother work on yours why u been asking bundy to weld on your skiff?

anybody with a welder and a case of beer can build u a skiff in their garage. for about 1/2 the price too.

of course, it won't be as fancy, or run as good as a guy who makes them for a living, but for a boat ur gonna beatup on trees and jump levees, who cares.

if ur caught up in the speed thing, well then, i don't gaf what u get. lol that's not what skiffs are about. too many clear water pirates already.

yea man i can bend the hell out of pipe. but ive been laid off since beginning of febuary. ive been driving trucks with my dad and crawfishing a little.

its so hard tho now to get material out of the plant. they cut a bunch of trucks and my boss lost his truck so he cant take it out for me. im not really worried bout it. i'll bend one when i go back to wrok.

for anyone wanting to do a grab bar for themselves tho, the measurement is 16" center of first bend, 40 degree bend, 32" center of second bend. i cut mine off at 15" for the handle.

I like my tank for a boat

Brother built my 18x42 skiff like a tank.Give him a call you will not be disipointed.The only thing that I would have done different was went 20 feet instead of 18.

yall got any pics? I have seen Owensdickensons, I'm pretty sure his is a brother skiff, I would like to see a few more..
