Mines fourth grade teacher told me that thay was not a such thang as a Stupid Querston .... so here goes !!! I thank I knows the answer anyways .........


Why when the engine ain't runnin' the throttle be feelin' like thay is alot of "slop" to it ? When engine is runnin' it feels like a throttle is 'spose too.

What I have found out ..... this year LOL .... is that when it's cold outside that I can pull the choke on and give throttle 'bout half and she will bust off just fine.

That tension would be the governor tightening up the linkage when the engine is running/rotating.

Now for my question, Is it really ever cold in Texas, or is it just a climatically challenged state of mind?

Today, it is cold in Texas. 50 degrees this AM and dropping. May get down to freezing tonight. Brrrrrr.

By the way, teacher was right "there are no stupid questions" just stupid answers

Kind of figured it was somethin' to do with the governor and all ..... but I still don't understands it !!! It be real looseygoosey .... like it ain't donin' nothin' ..... reckon it's still providing gasoline to the cylinders and all .. altho in not running ?

And also ...... ifin you installed a electronic rev limiter .... do it still operate somewhat like that ?

I'm not really needin' to know any of this info .... I just be broadin' mines knowledge !!!!!
