 adjusting idle ?
anyone know how to lower the idle on a 24 hp honda off hand. I belive im a little high i run 2400 rpm out of water idle. thanks

they should have a governer screw on ur carb back it out a lil until it turns down that should work

If you take off the breather, and you are standing in front of the motor, it's a screw on the left side of the carb, with part of the linkage resting on the bottom end of it. When you turn it it pushes against the linkage to raise/lower the rpm's, you'll hear it. Mine runs about 1200 out of the water, i'd say just lower it until it idles smoothly but won't bog down bad when you drop the prop in the water. I need to get a tach for mine.
