i recently purchased a new pd 36, i now have 4 hours on it...when i cranked it today with 2 hours on the motor, blue smoke came out the exhaust...alot of it kinda like you would expect to see a 2 stroke motor put out when there is to much oil in the gas mixture....as soon as i let it warm up and put it in gear smoke stops....when i trailored the boat i had the motor trimed up-would that cause the smoke? could the motor just been flooded?..but the motor ran like a champ after i got goin..any ideas what could be my problem? |

it's not uncommon for it to smoke on start up... as long as da smoke stops I wouldn't worry about it. |

Yep, what Stumpy said.... I had the same concern when I started it after I pulled it off the crate. Once I put on the water, it cleans itself out. Gone after warm up too. |
