Iv been researching the mikuni carb setup latley. I know the setup with intake and rev limiter is around 700. Iv found tons of 42mm mikuni "harley" carbs (just carb) for around 200 but im not sure which one will work. Anyone have a part number or a good explanation on which one works on the 35 vanguard. I figure if i find a part number on the carb i can buy rev and intake from evt and save 100-200$. Anyone else bought it direct?

Don't do it!!!!

It is cheaper in the long run to get it as a kit.
If you buy just the carb you still have to get the correct needle valve and seat, air filter, air filter adapter, and the other stuff to rig up the throttle to work. Save yourself some headache.

As stated best to go with a kit unless you can make your own intake or mill your own adapter.
