Does anyone know if it is possible to run a SD on a boat that has floatation pods?

I guess no one else wanted to chime in. The simple answer is yes. But...it isnt that simple.

There are boats out there running SD and pods. Some of these boats run without limitation and others have interference between the lower unit/prop/shaft and the pods. SO... it is somewhat case-by-case as to whether pods and SD are a "good thing". Its all about the specific combination.

What he said....

A GDSD would have it's turn angles limited more than say a PD...

Also pods can be shaped quite differently - IMO - it would be better to have a longer boat or a "sport/hunt deck" than to put pods on a mud boat

I would sell that hull and get another one...
