Post subject:  smaller godevil motor swaps?

what is the hp limit for a bolt on application for a 6hp go devil motor?
if i took a 5-6 hp godevil longtail, how large of a motor can i swap out on the frame? thanks

When I used to build my own if you had a 5 8-) 8-) hp briggs you can put a 10 tecumshi in its place they hadd the same bolt pattern and shaft height but the shaft was 1" instead of 3/4" but not sure bout what you have, you can also go to nortern tool and look up the engine specs where they will give you heights and stuff.

i spoke with GD they said only up to a 6.5 on this frame. not sure if thats said for liability or function. my jonboats say 25 hp outboard but i run 35 on them. guess ill have to look around take some measurments
