I heard Chevron is best cause it has something called techron in it that keeps an engine clean.

If stock, then 87

If modded, most recommend 93.

Do find a gas station with out ethanol included in gas. Ethanol attracts water. Going to be adding a fuel separator to my rig soon. Most recommend sea foam to help with this problem.

If under 10-1 compression, no need for the high octane unless you got chitty gas to begin with.

I run ONLY Chevron - Premium - and never use fuel over 2 weeks old in my boat engines....

If fuel is over 2 weeks old - then put it in the truck and buy new fuel for the boat....

Also I only buy fuel from two or three stations I know and trust...

IMO - poor fuel purchases and storage are the cause of 75 percent of boat maintenance problems - and I like to run mine not wrench on it...
