My engine is surging at 4350 rpm (topped out) unloaded . The surge is short and quick. It doesn't show up on the tiny tach. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

You runnin stock carb with govenor? If so, your govenor spring is probably worn causing the surging. |

Yep, swap your spring out to a stronger one. You are bumping the gov. |
