| Post subject: | 27 mods ??? |
I am interested in improving overall performance on my short block. My application will involve fishing (most use both salt and fresh), hunting, and runabout. As most on this site I will need both power and speed. I know I should have gotten a larger motor, but this is where I am starting. Stock 27 kohlar mud buddy sport. Where should I start? Thanks in advance for any help. |

Get the EVT Mikuni Carb ste up and exhaust and get your heads shaved .30. Talked to silk the other day about this if I couldn't sell my motor but sold my motor yesterday. |

Thanks men I should just up and go over to EVT. I am a visual learner anyway. I am still under warranty but I need a little more oomph. Would like to keep the 27 for the novelty of small block vs larger block. Am not opposed to modding to the max eventually. Like most I have to watch sinking too much $$ too quickly. |

$2000 will get you plenty of oomp out of that 27hp. Head work, carb, intake, muffler and som timing wake it up. Seen 3-5 mph gain on top and real good hole shot along with load carrying ability at a higher speed. Call myself or Robert and we can give you more details. |
