Is any one on here running a "hot" that is pushing a load very good? I was wondering bout a 25 stage 2. Yall think that could push 3 guys ok?

on the right boat, a stock motor could do that... if they weren't lard asses and carry tons of gear. my stock 27 could plane out and carry me, 2 other guys, and a pretty light hunting load. it wasn't really fast... 22 mph, but fast enough for running in stumps in the pre-dawn hours. that was on a 17x48 square chine

I currently have a 17x48 pd square chine. Do you think that is close to your boat as far as performance with that motor?

pretty damned close... make sure you place your load correctly in the boat, it should do it. like I said... not the fastest in the world, but it is capable. try it and see if you're happy with it before you drop lots of money on mods. if you decide to go that route, the performance parts are definitely out there...
