Finally got all the parts in and got back home to check the fit and lineup of everything...

Stock exhaust was 1.125" tube.

I will be reusing the stock flange because I don't feel like trying to replicate it in stainless right now.
I bought a little shorty glass pack off ebay meant for motorcycles. It has 1.5" inlet and 1.75" outlet (reversible actually) so I came off that with some mandrel bent 1.5" stainless sanitary tubing then a 1.5 X 1.25 weld reducer. That's as close as I could get to 1.125 but there is a little space on the flange to play with.

I hope the lack of back pressure doesn't cause any problems.....

I have to wait for my heads to come back from the shop before I can start cutting it up and welding it together. The glass pack is chromed steel so it will probably rust to shit in a hurry just like the stock exhaust, but it's pretty cheap to replace. I thought about having it duracoated at my local gunsmith but I don't think it would be worth the cost.

It should come out of the back of the head on the starboard side, 90* to run across the back of the engine perpendicular to the plane of the engine shaft, and exhaust straight out to port. The glass pack has a little bracket on it already that I plan to modify to attach to the engine block to stabilize it. I might add another to the top of the top pulley / belt cover if it looks like the vibration will get to it.

I will post pics of the finished product when it's up and running.....
