Sorry to hear about your motor...

Honestly though that kinda compression necessitates the octane booster
to prevent early detonation --- especially when you get out of the throttle...

Least it didn't happen during duck season...

That sucks. At least you have a little time before the season to figure out a gameplan.

What rpm's and what was the situation you were running when it killed? I'm just curious if it could have been avoided or if it was going to happen no matter what. I'm sure you will know more tomorrow after you tear it down.

I dont know how many of you have heard an engine when it comes apart like that but Ill say this, I was across the bayou from Terry on step and runnin, I heard it when it let go. Thats pretty loud.
