Just got my boat back today with a couple mods such as mikuni carb, evt intake, decked heads, timing advance, valves shimmed & evt exhaust w/ rev limiter. Havent put it in the water yet cause I am having issues that i cant figure out why in the hell its doing what its doing! When i turn the key to turn it over, she just spins and spins and spins and as soon as I let off the key, she sounds like she wants to jump! Different everytime I turn the key. Sometimes it blows smoke out the air filter. Sometimes it backfires like a 300 mag! Sometimes it sounds like it will start but DONT! Sometimes it cranks and runs! Dumb founded and dunno!

I'd take it back... Hopefully you live close to the shop where you had your work done.

Could be the rev limiter. there should be a quick wire connecter on the green wire going into the black rev box. diconnect it and try to start it again. if it fires up and stays runnin, more than likey its either wired wrong or the box is bad.

no 12v going to rev box in start mode .
