My brother has a predator 22 on a backwater frame. He is wanting to adjust it or zip tie it. I have searched this forum and others with no luck on how to do it. Can you guys please post some pictures on how to do it?

I will try and get a pic of mine tomorrow when I pick it up from the welder BUT it is the bottom big spring on the linkage assembly on the rear of the motor that does the trick. I ran a zip tie through the middle and had it come back around on the outside of that spring. I adjusted it down click by click with some needlenose pliers till it got tight enough.

So just zip tie through the spring?
How many rpms are you running now? His tiny tach says 1700. But it sounds like there is more. I'll try and help him once I see governor pic.

Yes, the zip tie goes right down through the middle and back around the coil part of the spring to simply limit the springs travel. I am running 3700rpm loaded down with family in water. Solo I'm running 3950-4000 in the water balls out at 22mph. Out of the water I'm turning 4300. I am also using a Backwater 9x6 prop. It was just a tad bit too much prop but after running 2-3hrs in coastal mud it broke in enough that my Rpm got to that sweet spot.

On my old longtail i had a 22 predator with the gov spring modified .
i would keep a eye on your flywheel, mine busted apart the magnets and plates inside jammed up on the coils and tore em up while running.

i was stuck in swamp for 4 hours till a buddy could come get me.
