Topped it off with a delta upper and a 42hsr. Broke im the cam today and changed the oil. Sounds excellent. Hoping to go test before the caddo run.

You said larger Manleys. Intake and exhaust or intake only?

Post subject:  Re: Texas Fresh 35 build

Intake and exhaust are larger.

NICE!

But I think it would look better on my GTR frame!

Funny you say that. You need to hurry up and upgrade! I have a feeling this motor is going to be a little too much for a Go devil frame :D it was already a handfull

No cavitation plate. Interesting.....

I'm assuming it helps in thick vegetation?

Yea previous owner cut it off. It digs through shit pretty good. My only complaint is at north of 30 ive got to hold it down while im standing up so i wears me out running fast. Ive added a bit of length to tabs and it helped. Maybe im just getting older but being able to run wot while sitting down is appealing :D

I lnow im goin to catch some shit over Drinkin koolaid. The prop is a stocker that is balanced and the picth brought up just a touch. 100hrs on it now. 36 tooth top pulley. Definitely not optimal. I was going to play the prop game but now thinking of just swapping frames. At least GT has proven props that work

When im cutting the seats going bigger lets me "lay back" the angles and put more funnel into it

Also after i deshrouded i pushed the chamber to the gasket line by hand around the valves

I feel ya on the 80/20 rule. Stock size just dosent let me do the valve job i like. Its also why i pushed out the chamber to make up for it. These exhaust valves are still smaller than what bps uses. Not that im comparing to them

Yeah everyone does there valve jobs a specific way. We all have opinions lol. Without them life would be bland. Keep up the good work. I've heard good that comes out of your shop.

Just so no one judges his work from this conversation, the heads we're talking about weren't something he worked on. They were someone else's screw up, and not as advertised upon purchase.

Something else i noticed with the gdsd frame today. I was giving the boat a little run time in our test pond. I got out and let my brother make a pass. From standing on the bank i could see when he hits it the back end of the boat lifts and nose shoves down. Its got to be part of how the gdsd prop shaft hits the water at an angle instead of the force being square with the bottom of the boat. Just another small reason im looking foward to running a different frame

Post subject:  Re: Texas Fresh 35 build

yeah. The more parallel and lower you can get the motor the flatter the push will net the best lift for the hull.
