Can anyone point me in the right direction for a new Briggs engine for a 2012 35 GTR? Broke a rod which ended up breaking the cam, scoring the cylinder, and breaking the bearings. I assume it will be cheaper to just buy a brand new Briggs engine and slap it on. Can someone provide me with the precise engine number, and maybe if there is a tutorial or something to walk me through how to install a new one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

613477-0121 -e1 is the model number off mine. There are quite a few that have the correct size crank, but the 613477 is the horizontal 35. Lemme know once you get the replacement and I'll talk you through getting it mounted up. Mine is a 2011 model, so shouldn't be any difference other than maybe the brake for the reverse. Russ, Thanks a lot. I appreciate it. Had a stroke of bad luck. Bought a used motor that was in fine shape, and it just so happens the first hour of run time after I bought it was the precise moment it wanted to go... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you are scrapping it check the heads, they may have core value. Rear case cover can bring a buck too |

I'm pretty sure the heads are fine. They were decked by gatortail. I didn't get to dig too far into it yet, but from a quick look, heads looked fine, valves and lifters (stainless aftermarket) etc looked fine as well from what I could see in a few minutes of quickly digging into it. The motor I was going to get fell through. Anyone have any decent leads on a good new motor for sale? If not, I'm going to have to order one direct from Briggs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
