| Post subject: | New GTR XD clutch cover on Older GTR |
I have one of the older GTR 25s and the older clutch assembly cover. Mine decided to melt so I called Gator-Tail and ordered a new one. I was told that I could no longer get the cover I had and they sent me one of the new covers with a bracket that bolts to the back of my engine for the top mounting bolts. Everything looks like it will bolt up right but there is a lot more open space on the back of the cover. I’m kind of worried that I will get a lot of debris in the clutch assembly. Any thoughts on what to do? I thought about maybe making an aluminum cover to seal up the space but I don’t know if that would cause any problems. Have any of you guys attempted to upgrade the cover? |
