Looks like roller rockers are easier to hold on to when adjusting clearances? Are there any other benefits?

They open and close the valve faster. They give you more lift. They also reduce friction on the valve stem.
Now they also increase area under the curve, so you need to take that into account when setting up camshaft timing.

So, not something I can just swap out? I have to adjust the timing also?

its a bolt on Mod. Its expensive for a basic hunt motor IMO. seat cam timing is the same but every point beyond that the valve duration is larger.. Its making your motor believe the cam is more aggressive. (simplest way to state it)

Less friction equals more hp but at a steep cost. Still hard to comprehend $500 for four f'n roller rockers when you can get 16 full roller rockers for a small block for $160... Mfg are making bank on these B&S engines....

There is more to the rollers than less friction.[/quote]

Yep, I get it. More area under the base, valves closing faster, larger full fulcrum arc allowing a larger cam, etc.. I was just mentioning one of the main benefits of having them, even in stock applications. I just wish they were a bit cheaper...

Thanks for the replies. Haven't pulled the trigger yet but I'm seriously considering it.

I watched that video about ten times before I attempted it. It's more difficult to hold onto the stock rocker while snugging everything up.
