was looking at the head,(4400 HDR) notice the valve guide may have been push up on the intake when the rod bent. are they suppose to look like this? notice the intake guide is flush... is this correct? |

That looks like BPS heads. If you have never pulled them before, they probably came that way. I had a set from BPS that was supposedly their 4400 series and they damn near looked stock. The guide looks fine on the top side. Take a dremel and burr bit and knock it flush like the other. |

Thats why I asked. The iron mountain heads are really junk. They really are not anywhere close to a good set of heads, but they do ok. The reason I asked it I have seen that before shipped out from them. But if you have pulled them before and they were both flush, then thats something we need to look at something else. |

No, I've never pulled them before, just too lazy to pull the other and compare,, I think they are ok, I'll just leave it alone. |

Thats factory valve guide placement, no problems there |
