Post 35 CDI threw a rod
Better off rebuilding it with OS pistons and rods or buying a new short block? If the short block route does anyone have a line on a short block?
Either way the labor is free.

Pull it apart and see if the crank is scarred or just the rod broke.. That will determine if you should repair or replace the short block
