Did a thread search for modded 40's without much luck, found a thread on dyno's for a low end torque kit or something but that's all. Running a 20x48 WC at elevation so any #'s I throw out there rn will be skewed (overall consistent tho). Moving back to TX and I want to build my motor out with the change in elevation. Figure it'd be fun to see what I can get doing it that way, 20% plus mods all at once. Looking for info specific to the 40 block. GD FNR builds a plus. Big jump in stock performance b/w the 37 and 40 IMO. |

I got a stage 2 40 (exhaust, heads, cam, tune), and I have 140 hours on the build. Runs real strong. Jeremiah Williams built my boat and motor. |

Call Will at Texas Mud Motors (near Tyler, tx) or Marcus at Bayou Sufrace Drives (Cleveland, tx). Good people, helpful, know their stuff, and have recipes for the 40s. #CFFITR #mudmotor>physics |

Jeremiah has recipes for the 40s as well. He does excellent work and has done my rig as well as 8 of my buddies in my hunting club. Out of us 9, we have not had any issues since our builds. All the guys listen here do excellent work, I just have personal experience with Jeremiah and have been very happy with the multiple builds from him that we run. |

If my stock 40 went any faster it would be scary. Get your prop fine tuned by Chris Courville in Loreauville, LA and you’ll get more speed and hole shot/load carrying capability if you need it. |

Thanks for the info. 20’ hull for what you lose in top end speed I think you make up for in load performance standing against an 18’ hull IMO. You always want more hp. Loaded against an 18’ hull hole shots my setup has performed well if not better than most under full load. I think with elevation change plus stage 2 mods this thing will feel like a rocket first launch in TX and that’s kinda what I’m goin for. Does anyone know of or have a new GO DEVIL FNR out there that’s been modded? This is what I’d really like to know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
