Post Hardside boat blind build
Looking for input for a hardside boat blind, if you have one or built one. Looked into purchasing one but the cost of traveling to get the products would be the half of the cost.

Built mine out of conduit also. I've actually welded three of them up now and have changed small things on each one. Skin it out with 24" aluminum brown flashing.
It's easy to do, just takes a little time. If you're anywhere near Stoddard, look me up and you can come see mine. I always build low/low blinds for hunting the Mississippi but building a high/low would be just as easy.

I'd like to see more pics of some. The Phowler ones look pretty good. My boat came with some rigged up chicken wire death trap, but I'd like to try to build a hard side for it.

You're not going to see a whole of of the frame in these pics but you can see the general idea.
One pic shows the front of the boat with the top doors all closed. There are front doors also that open so you can get in easily. The canvas on the front keeps wind and rain out and is usually covered in rafia.
Another pic shows a couple of the doors open on the top. There are double doors all the way down so you can close some for concealment or all for sleeping in there.
The other pic shows the rear of the boat. The canvas tarp is usually covered in more rafia along with the motor. It rolls down so it doesn't get in the way of using the motor. The back two doors also are double hinged, meaning they can be opened on top to shoot out of but also hinge where the vertical part of the blind meets the horizontal part so they fold completely out of the way when driving.

The inside is insulated with 1/2" pink insulation and held on with spray foam. There really isn't much on the inside for bracing. I've never had a problem going 65 on the interstate for 45 min rides.
In the middle pic, the third vertical panel in is actually a door that hinges up so you can reach your hand out and pick up a cripple in open water.
The grass you see hanging down in one of the pics is grass that is on the inside of the top doors. I did this so that the inside of the doors is camoed for when you hunt with them open.
