 Re: Havoc Boats??
Wait for big rich to get on here, I'm sure he can give some insight! They bare made in the town where he is, and also it was started by Tim Scott, the same guy that started excel, then left and started Edge boats, and now with these.

 Re: Havoc Boats??
Yeah they are already selling the shit out of them!! If you are wanting it for a mud boat I would suggest against it!!

 Re: Havoc Boats??
They are a new boat by Tim Scott which did build excel and edge. They are a light weight outboard hull. Tim did message me last week saying that he is gonna build a .125 mm hull that he said would fly. They have had issues with getting aluminum last few weeks but sounded like the had in the neighborhood of 100 on order

 Re: Havoc Boats??
It was. The havoc boats have a little wider beam then the edge due to denting the sides and not hitting the gunnel cap. He claims with lil different design this hull is faster and I'm not sure why the new company but I know it's different owners. But I'm sure he is chasing the dollar

 Re: Havoc Boats??
I had no issues with my edge. The business side of Waco was a joke though lie after lie. He would still be at excel if wasn't for the midget I hear.

 Re: Havoc Boats??
I agree, but I don't see their mm hull doing well, the point to me would being able to turn on a dime with a for sure mud motor hull and I don't know if he will be able to? Especially where we hunt rich, you can go fast all day long if you like to hit trees! But you have to turn!

 Re: Havoc Boats??
Tim lied directly to me about a boat so I would take it. I called him on it and we all but got in a fist fight. He is only after a dollar!

 Re: Havoc Boats??
TIm has worked at several boat manufacturers. The latest have been excel, edge, and havoc. The tornado wiped him out at excel and then Foreman rolled in like a knight in shinning armor to help and save them all. What he did do was educate them on the finer parts of business and Tim found himself without a company and without a job. But there a lot of details and Lord knows Tim ain't no business man. Then at edge/waco things got crazy again and the split wasn't good. Then Havoc, I wish him well. There just has been a lot of drama and problems along the way, so it seems.
Rumor has it somebody is trying to come out with a new company/boat. We will see but the market just won't sustain all the narrow beam timber boats.

 Re: Havoc Boats??
The first run of Edge boats were great, then for some reason the bottom design was modified. Did Waco go back to the original design and now that Tim is building Havoc hulls is the hull not hooked?

 Re: Havoc Boats??
I knew they were gonna keep producing them when Tim left but I was told recently they had quit. But it was longer then a month ago so guess not! I like my edge no complaints! It was a good thin fast full for an outboard

 Havoc Boats??
If ur wanting speed a custom hull will have to copy an edge/havoc close. Tim figured the design out to get lift like a bass boat! I have 2 buddies with edges one a 1650 and one 1556 both with 50 tdli's both can run 47 both the 50" bottom is sketchy. Now I have heard some guys say they sold their edges with suzuki's bc the way back is cut that in turns they would blow out bc wasn't enough water on prop. I had etec 25 so wasn't as fast but I could tell that it could Bn an issue!
