Re: 1840 GTB and 25 GTR ??? A 35 on my 1840 would be a fast ass boat. The 25 pushes me 27-28 light load...3 man hunt load will drop it off to about 19-20..... A 40 inch square chine will turn really well. My boat has custom boxes built into the front deck. 2 gun boxes, a catchall box and a hatch to get under deck for pfd and winch. The little bit of extra weight up front make the boat run flat.

Re: 1840 GTB and 25 GTR ??? The website says recommended HP not necessarily the max HP as stated in the above plaquard, so that should answer your question. I have seen 18x40's running around with 35's and they perform well like a knife through buter when it comes to turning
