Pulled the trigger on my first mud motor
Well after looking, searching, asking many a questions, I bought a brand spanking new strait from the factory its cheaper that way 23 HP copperhead with the floating handle just in case I hunt timber, I will be mounting it on a 1448 alweld, not a smooth bottom boat but what I had.... from my search, it should do what I need it to do, I mostly hunt me plus one, and some times a dog with all our trimmings, Gun, ice chest, dekes and ya'll know the stuff we take and never use. The 20 Hp outboard was just not a cutting it anymore and I'm tired of a hiking it by foot way back when the tide is out. I have heard with what I plan on running as far as weight, will put me between 20-25 mph and I'm fine with that either way. will keep yall updated, I looked for the indicial setup on here to see reviews but could not find any so will update after test run.
