2 questions about hydroturf and short transom
Which hydroturf, pattern, color, ect. to use in boat? Can anyone tell me a pro about having a short transom?... All I can find is reasons not to have one, are there any reasons to have one or a time that it is better than a tall transom?.. (found a deal on a short transom boat)

Re: 2 questions about hydroturf and short transom
Color and pattern are subjective, pick out what you want. That being said, I'll probably use Swamp Camo in the groove cut when I put my order in.
I have to go under bridges a lot on the lakes I hunt, and when the water is up it can be a tight squeeze. The mud motors are already taller than a regular outboard, so I went with short shaft to give me a few extra inches of clearance.

I think the molded diamond turf is the most durable.

The molded will hold up better. The only molded sheet is the diamond. Sucks its only available in the smaller sheets though.

Thanks for all the input, OD if you could shoot me your info so I can figure out how many sheets of which pattern would best suit what I'm looking for if you don't mind...

Re: 2 questions about hydroturf and short transom
Short transom for me as well, lower profile, easier to hide, easier to navigate around and under trees and low limbs when lakes and rivers rise. Some of these motors like Gatortail really stick up like a sore thumb on a tall transom.
